Good Morning East High School!
 
1.) Do you think your parents just don’t understand you?   Do you wonder why you do the things you do?  Come and invite your parents for a  short discussion at the East PTSA meeting with Stephanie Hoy on “The Teen Brain”!  This next Monday night, October 5,2009 @ 7pm at the East PTSA meeting in the East Commons Area.  

 
2.) Seniors- Time’s getting short. Senior pictures are due to the Yearbook October 16th. Get them in to room 244 NOW!
 
 
3.) Come to the Check Your Head Hip Hop Club every Monday and Wednesday after school in room 159. Learn from professional hip-hop producers Mcs, break-dancer and slam poets. Free Food!!!
 
 
4.) Building leadership in the African American community for Kids presents Chris Gardner author of the “Pursuit of Happiness”. This Saturday October 3rd at 9:00 am. At Overland High School. With special guest Crystal Kunkendall.

Tickets are $5.00 for students $8.00 in advance or $12.00 at the door for adults. Students may purchase tickets through Pay Pall or at Overland High School.


5.)Movie Night has been moved to Wednesday due to an unforeseen scheduling issue. Movie night is Wed.@6pm <mailto:Wed.@6pm>  Pizza, drinks and treats will be sold.
 
6.) No Place for Hate meeting this Friday at Lunch, room 311.


7.) Citizens of the world unite! Are you fascinated by foreign cultures and world affairs? Do you like to try new foods or watch foreign films? If so, check out the table for East's new International Club out by the “E” on Thursday, and then come join us this Friday at lunch in room 305.


8.) Important Homecoming dance information:

Homecoming tickets are on sale after at lunch and after school.

$9 singles $16 couples. You will need an ID to purchase your ticket and to get into the dance. Don’t’ miss this fun night!
NO TICKETS will ever be sold at the door.

Any students coming from an outside school must have been approved and must be accompanied by an East student.

: Michael Jackson Day and a dance contest at lunch on the E.

Tuesday:
Disney Day movie night at 6pm in the Panek gym

Wednesday:
Wild West Day

Thursday:
Geek day add some pink to your outfit to support breast cancer awareness

Friday:
Crazy Red and White Day with pep rally at the end of the day

 

About East High School

 In an age which often seems careless with tradition, East prides itself in its long-standing educational service to the Denver community.  Few buildings are capable of eliciting awe, but the striking East building, located in the City Park setting, offers beautiful landscaping and renders an aesthetic experience for East High students.  East is patterned after Independence Hall in Philadelphia and was granted Denver Landmark Status on February 4, 1991, because of its architectural significance.
